Guess this is where we talk – they call it blogging

I’m just glad to be here finally.  I only ended up building a half dozen websites first.  That’s fine.  They’re cool, and I think they will be okay.  They might make me a few dollars, if I’m lucky.  This is just business-dreamsville, and that’s not why I’m here.  Some days I think about a BooHoo page with encouragements available too, I guess.  I’d like to have the availability for comments and replies.  I’m new to this so far.  Anyway, I’ll share what I can, and I hope it’s good for you.

Hell’s Kitchen is a good TV show

A former-pro-soccer-player-turned-Michelin-starred-chef, Gordon Ramsay is looking for someone with the potential to become America’s next culinary star. The heat is on and the “steaks” are high as the contestants endure Ramsay’s hellishly intense culinary boot camp. Each week Ramsay will grill the ambitious hopefuls as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to run their own restaurant.

He will slice and dice the contestants, keeping only those who possess the right combination of ingredients to ensure success. The contestants’ inexperience, combined with the perfectionist Ramsay’s acid tongue, may be a recipe for disaster, but for one aspiring restaurateur, it’s the chance of a lifetime. In this pressure-cooker environment, only one thing is certain: If the contestants can’t stand the heat, they’ll have to get out of “Hell’s Kitchen.”

Randy to the Rescue – new TLC show

Every Friday on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Randy Fenoli makes brides’ fantasies come true. He’s the ultimate FOB (friend-of-the-bride), one of the most trusted names in bridal fashion and every bride-to-be wants to work with him. But what’s a girl to do if her budget doesn’t include a trip to New York?  Never fear. It’s Randy to the Rescue: The Ultimate Bridal Event!  For the first time ever, Randy is going where no couture-loving bridal fashion director has gone before – off the runway and behind the wheel of a big rig – to bring his favorite gowns, his unsurpassed dress knowledge, and his signature “head-to-hem” styling approach to you!

Born on a cattle farm in Southern Illinois, Randy is the youngest of seven children. Driven by his fascination for design, Randy taught himself how to sew at the early age of 9. Randy’s passion for fashion & design led him to the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. While at FIT, Randy won a number of awards for bridal design and achievement. Immediately after graduating, Randy launched two bridal industry collections: Randy Fenoli for the Diamond Collection and Randy Fenoli for Dressy Creations.

Remember Quantum Leap & Rockford Files?

Quantum Leap

Quantum Leap is an American television series that was broadcast on NBC from March 26, 1989 to May 5, 1993, for a total of five seasons per Wikipedia.

“Theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. He woke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home.” tv.com

Scott Bakula is perhaps best known for his five-year stint on the innovative television series Quantum Leap, which brought him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series, as well as three additional nominations, and four Emmy nominations. He was also honored an unprecedented five times by the Viewers for Quality Television. Today, Quantum Leap remains one of the most popular series in syndication around the world. Plus, a Quantum Leap album features songs Bakula performed in several episodes.

Rockford Files

James Garner stars as Jim Rockford, a private investigator who lives and works from his trailer in Malibu, Los Angeles.  Jim is an ex-con who had been imprisoned for five years in San Quentin for armed robbery, a crime which he did not commit and was later pardoned.  Jim has a quarter page advertisement in the yellow pages, drives a tan Pontiac Firebird and has an answering machine, which plays at the beginning of every episode; “This is Jim Rockford, at the tone leave your name and message, and I’ll get back to you”.  A person then leaves a message which usually has no relevance to the episode but is often humorous.

The series also stars Noah Beery Jr as Jim’s father Joseph “Rocky” Rockford, a retired truck driver.  Rocky offers words of wisdom, advice or even assistance in some episodes.  Rocky frequently pressures his son to leave the PI business and take up safer, honest work, such as trucking. Jim also has a close friendship with Dennis Becker, played by Joe Santos. Dennis is a Los Angeles Police Sergeant, later promoted to Lieutenant.  Jim uses Dennis get information, police computer checks and often makes him the hero of the case Jim was investigating.

While Jim was in prison, he met Evelyn ‘Angel’ Martin, wonderfully portrayed by Stuart Margolin. So named because he was always praying the hard cases not to hit him; Angel is sneaky and is always up to something illegal – often involving Jim in his swindles.  As part of his parole, he works for his brother-in-law who owns a LA Newspaper.  Stuart Margolin is best known for his two-time Emmy award-winning role of “Angel”.  First Telecast: September 13, 1974 Last Telecast: July 25, 1980 Nielsen Ratings: (Top 25 or Better) #12 in the 1974-1975 Season
